POLICE: Pharmacy Thief Caught On Camera

Police say a Beulaville man was caught on camera this weekend breaking into a pharmacy and stealing pain pills.

Robert Hobbs is charged with several drug counts, along with breaking and entering. Police say the 33-year-old man broke into the Beulaville Pharmacy late Saturday night.

They say the pharmacy's camera showed a man breaking the glass door and stealing several bottles containing Oxycontin pills. A total of 400 Oxycontin pills were taken.

Hobbs turned himself in Sunday night to authorities. He's in jail without bond and has a January 14th court date.

I do not see myself as being an enabler. I don't know this man from Adam however because I don't know him and his situation it is not for me to judge him. You are so quick to pass judgement that you don't look at the whole picture. I personally am glad he was caught and maybe while he is locked up he can get the help he needs. This might be a releif for his family. As a family member of an addict you can only offer help and its their choice to accept it. This way he is forced to face the demon that he created. I hope you find employment soon. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Why in the world are you trying to offer any excuses for this fool? He is no different than any of the other idiots that do things they know are wrong. You know, the ones you and others, including myself, call thugs. He needs to be thrown under the jail, if for nothing else than being a fool among fools. Heck, it's rough all over. I, personally, am unemployed and can't find a job in this God forsaken little town I live in, but I haven't stooped to the level of taking what doesn't belong to me. I'm getting out everyday and looking for work. Quit being an enabler.

Of course he will plead not quilty. Everyone in the prison system is innocent. If you don't believe me, just ask them!

Maybe this was a cry for help. Don't know him but must have been real messed up to go to this extreme. Until we have walked in his shoes or the shoes of his loved ones let us not judge.

Any bets that he will still plead not guilty?
