POLICE: Eleven Armed Robberies Cleared With Arrests

Goldsboro police say they have charged two men with even more convenience store robberies.

Police had already charged Antell Nobles with six holdups that have plagued convenience stores in recent months. They have since identified a second suspect, Derek Cumberlander. Wayne County deputies charged Cumberlander with three other armed robbery counts.

Now, police have charged the two with five additional armed robbery counts. Police say the two men would come into the business, show a weapon and take money and sometimes tobacco products.

The robberies occurred over a four month period since September. Nobles has an $850,000 secured bond, while Comberlander's bond was set at $500,000.

If the D.A. had any courage and did his job along with the judge they would make all these charges and convictions run consecutively to keep these menaces to society locked up for a very long time.

How can these cases be cleared if these two people have not been to court and convicted? I thought a case was considered "cleared" with an arrest AND a conviction. I'm not saying they aren't guilty, just that the entire process is not complete, therefore they are only halfway to being "cleared."
