POLICE: Teenager Stabs And Cuts Teen Victim Multiple Times

A 15-year-old is recovering Saturday after he was stabbed by a 14-year-old, according to Newport police.

Lawmen report they were called to a report of a stabbing around 3:00 a.m. Saturday in the White Sands Boulevard area.

They say the stabbing took place in the roadway between Kings Way and Beaver Dam Trail in the White Sands subdivision.

According to police, the 15-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to the front and back of his shoulder, along with multiple cuts on his arms and stomach. He was taken to the hospital, and authorities say he is going to be okay.

Lawmen put out a description of the teen suspect and say they found him riding a bicycle on Howard Boulevard, about 2 miles from the crime scene. Newport police also report they found the pocket knife used in the attack near the scene.

The teen is facing a charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is locked up in a Department of Correction Juvenile Detention Facility.

According to police, "information obtained during the investigation leads officers to believe the attack resulted from the victim confronting the suspect about his relationship with a relative of the victim."

Ok. My son goes to NMS. There are a lot of good kids there... but you have your rotten apples also. I don't know this victim personally. Only have seen him at track meets. Parents really need to communicate with their children and find out who they're hanging out with. One bad kid can corrupt a good child. Sad, but it happens. Dugs, violence, and behavior problems are a growing problem. Communicate with your children and for the love of GOD, discipline them! Installing a security system may help keep them in also. My house alarm would have gone off at 3am. It's worth $30 a month to be safe; especially when you have kids this age!

Inquirer? Please get a grip! Some parents do not raise their kids to the best of their ability and They do not CARE what their kids are doing. I know the teenagers involved and they do as they please.

No one should blame the parents and definitely not call the parents names. Parents raise their kids and teach them to the best of their ability. We as parents can't control our children when your not with them, they have a mind of their own and gonna do what they do rather its wrong or right. Blaming the parents and calling names is not called for.

Accident? Beth. What did the 14 year old just happen to be holding a dinner knife and the 15 year old just tripped and fell on it. The other kid got cut up several times, sounds like there was clear intent to do harm.

    1. The charge needs to be changed to "Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury With Intent to Kill". If you're stabbing me with a knife, you're not trying to tickle me. 2. Just two more Turds on the street that the Cops are going to have to deal with when they are no longer Minors.
