Landlords are in a tough position. Wainwright owns and manages Village Quarters. They run back ground checks on their tenants just like I do. Wainwright evicted the tenant as soon as they discovered the problem but the courts give dead beat and criminal tenants 30 to 60 days to move out based on court dates and appeals. It is also against the law for management companies to turn down qualified applicants despite the obvious stereotypes. While landlords certainly deserve their share of the blame, these bad tenants neighbors are just as much to blame. If the neighbors would lodge complaints, the management companies would kick the bad tenants out even sooner. This problem isn't going away. Landlords, tenants, the police, and city officials need to work together to identify and discourage these thugs from coming here. The bigger question is how to stop the cycle of young females from having babies with these thugs, getting public assistance (housing, cell phones, utility bills, you name it) and facilitating the entire cycle over and over. I have no affiliation with Wainwright properties but I will say that Keith and his team run a good business and he has done a good share of cleaning up many poorly run complexes.

Let's hope WITN fills in some blanks here with a follow up report. This loser and his brother Joshua Holmes come to greenville from Johnston County and stay with Females living in Village Quarters. The police have had the warrants for his arrest for nearly 2 months while this convicted felon thumbs his nose at the police breaking into peoples homes in broad daylight. His brother has already been locked up in connection with these burgleries. This cycle of females renting apartments in and around the colonial heights area so their thug boyfriends can stay with them and prey on law abiding citizens has to be addressed. We will not stop until we rid our neighborhood of these low life criminals.

I give some of the foul credit to the landlords too. Ride through your rentals on weekends and observed whats going on! The young girls are getting the places and their 'sorry' thug-boyfriends are moving in and disturbing peace and risking other tenants safety. I'm tired of moving from one place to another eventually they will come also. Is any place safe for habitat?!
