Several communities along the Outer Banks remain on a boil water advisory during the Fourth of July.
Corolla Light, Monterrey Shores and Buck Island in Corolla are the areas affected. So far, there have not been any problems detected in the water, but Carolina Water Services Incorporated experienced a service disruption Saturday.
Officials recommend customers boil their water before consumption as a precaution.
