People from across the country are still in the east helping people get back on their feet after Hurricane Irene.
The North Carolina Baptist Men non-profit group is still bringing in volunteers and putting them to work.
We caught up with a group tarping a mother and daughter's neighboring homes in Vanceboro. Water had been leaking into the home since Irene moved through the east more than two weeks ago. The men and women working on the home are from our state, Florida and Kentucky, and they offer several different services to those in need.
"Any minor repairs that need to be done to mobile homes- we came here for cutting trees off of homes and clearing driveways and things of that nature," said Baptist Men volunteer George Shanks.
Although the home owner didn't want to go on camera she says she's grateful for the group's help.
Shanks says they expect to continue this work for the next 10 days.
