'Operation Joining Forces' Nets 24 Arrests In Wilson County

Wilson County law enforcement along with U.S. Marshals accomplished 2-dozen arrests in two days.

The agencies held a press conference Wednesday afternoon to discuss Operation Joining Forces. Within the 2 day span of March 28th and 29th. Officers arrested 24 fugitives, served 36 warrants, and knocked on the door of 118 sex offenders to make sure they were in compliance with laws. That resulted in the arrest of 3 sex offenders.

Officers say it is the first of it's kind in Wilson county, but it won't be their last.

"We all came together as one and we want to send a loud and clear message to the criminals. You can run. We are coming after you. You can't hide. Move, move, move," said U.S. Marshal Scott Parker.

There are plans to continue this joint effort in Wilson County. Officers say during the two days no one was injured, and no guns were drawn.
