A man is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from the OB/GYN's office where he used to work.
Greenville police charged 33-year-old Dana Lassiter with three counts of embezzlement. Police say Lassiter stole close to $14,000 from Carolina Women's Physicians in Greenville between July 2011 and July 2013. Detectives say he used that money for personal use.
Lassiter was scheduled to have a first appearance in court in Pitt County Friday after his arrest the day before. He was released on an unsecured bond.
