Vaughan said, "We stayed on the beach all day. We went swimming, or we attempted to go swimming. It was fun!"
Kerry Knuschae, her husband, and three kids snuck over to Atlantic Beach from Charlotte for a couple of days.
Knuschae said, "The weather has been very rainy and icy. We had sleet last Friday. We lost another day of school. Today is just beautiful."
The temperature at the beach reached 67 degrees on Tuesday.
