Night Time Hunting Hearing Wednesday Night

A new proposal could allow for hunting at night in our area, but some say, this practice could jeopardize the safety of people and endangered species.

The North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission has proposed a new rule that would allow the hunting of feral swine and coyotes at night with lights.

Donna Storie say this practice can harm the Red Wolf population, since they so closely resemble coyotes. A public hearing about the proposal is being held, Wednesday night, at Pitt Community College at 7pm.
