News Conference Set In Fatal Shooting

We should learn later this week whether any charges will be filed against an off-duty deputy in a fatal shooting that left a Havelock firefighter and former Marine dead.

Onslow County District Attorney Ernie Lee will hold a news conference Wednesday morning to announce his findings in the Swansboro shooting on February 17th.

Police say 27-year old Austin Zundel got in a fight with 44 year-old Adam Stock, a reserve officer with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office and instructor with the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Academy. Stock says he was forced to shoot Zundel.

The medical examiner says Zundel died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the death a homicide.

I hope Stock gets a fair trial. But he should be held responsable for this killing. Right or wrong someone is dead, and others are suffering on both side.

Little Earnie wants to get on TV. He'll proceed to inform you why Stock is not responsible for any wrongdoing. Stock should have let on duty deputies handle the situation. Zundel may still be alive if that were the case. Of course, it's all going to be about the cover up now.
