New Stoplight, Parking At PCMH

Drivers in Greenville may notice a new traffic signal at the intersection of Stantonsburg Road and W.H. Smith Boulevard near Pitt County Memorial Hospital. The hospital's press office says a new section of Hospital Loop Road leads people to the entrance of the parking lot in front of the PCMH rehabilitation buildings.

This is phase one of a nine-phase project.

People coming to the Regional Rehabilitation Center can now take advantage of expanded parking close to the building, including more handicapped parking spaces close to the building.

The South Gate entrance will continue to be accessible to rehab patients and families who want to try to park in the lot right in front of the Rehab Center's main entrance. Parking in that lot is free. In a few weeks, the parking spaces closest to Stantonsburg Road will be closed.

Patients may want to be dropped off or use the free valet service at the Rehab Center.

A new drive-way entrance to outpatient rehab will be located off Service Drive.
