New Jobs Coming To Goldsboro

A Goldsboro company says it plans to add 137 new jobs after it expands its body and chassis facility.

Governor Beverly Perdue announced this morning that Cooper Standard, a leading supplier and components for the auto industry, will invest nearly $18 million in the plant by the end of next year.

Cooper has been in Goldsboro since 1984 and added a second plant in 1997. The company already has 373 full-time workers in Wayne County. The expansion was made possible by a grant from the One North Carolina fund.
