New Check Scam

A check scam that is going around right now can cost you if you fall for it.

People are alerting officials that they have received a letter in the mail from a bank, which is offering you $80,000. The letter includes a check for $2,500, and you are asked to wire bank fees totaling $1,500. However, the check is fake, so by the time you deposit the check for $2,500 and wire $1,500, you're out $4,000.

Industry experts say anytime you have to wire money in order get money, that's a huge red flag.

Well folks consider this....if they called you and told you they were with the government and Barry Obama had a check for you for 80k...now, how many do you think would give them a CC number? Remember, its Obamas money....its from those rich people...wait...just described the DNC...oops.

Are you accusing the Democratic party of a banking scam? That is a serious accusation, perhaps you should substantiate what you're saying, or calm down and think before you slander people.

So you are not aware of the Ponzi scheme the DNC started with social security? If it was left intact...it would be a good program...but the DNC leaders used the money to balance the budget by taking loans on it. Yeah, its serious when the program you now have the GOP throwing grandma over the cliff it the DNC fault. Facts are there man...research it...then you might understand why I vote republican now. And Obamacare....it had more terds than a rabbit cage after a week, in it. You ain't payin attention to facts. Welfare traps minorities in it, costs a fortune, but social security is being abused by democrats for anything. Man, slander? Do you just go to the liberal web sites for feel good or do you really search for the truth, the facts? Suggest you go to Nonsense Bringer...How about Hooey Harbor?

I rcvd a letter saying i was inheriting money from a family member, i checked it out for about 6 months before i sent them any information. not even my address. as it turned out it was true. if you are due money, you should not have to send any money to get it. and if someone said you had money from spain coming and you had no relatives in spain, its probably not true.

Let's put it really simply, if anyone offers you a check, and you have to send them back money from the check, it's a scam. Particularly in this case, why wouldn't the just send you a check for a lessor amount and keep the money to start out with. At least in the Nigerian type scams they have a valid reason for not being able to get at the millions promised.
