A New Bern bank was robbed during lunchtime today.
Police say the VantageSouth Bank on Glenburnie Road was held-up around 12:15 p.m. The man handed a bank teller a note demanding money.
The robber did not show a weapon, but indicated he had one. He took off toward the woods adjacent to the bank with an unknown amount of cash.
They say the robber is described as a black man, approximately 6'2" tall and weighting 275 pounds. He was wearing a wide-brimmed fishing hat, black sunglasses, khaki pants and a runner's style jacket.
