DOMINION: Power Restored To All Customers In Martin County

Officials with Dominion power tell WITN that there are no more outages.

Nearly 1,000 Dominion customers were without power several hours in Martin County Friday night, but the cause was not known.

Dominion says about 6:30 p.m. Friday, 844 people in Williamston lost power and another 279 in Hamilton for a total of 1,123 customers without power in Martin County.

As of 9 :30 p.m. , Dominion said power had been restored to 157 customers, leaving 966 customers in the dark for 3 hours.

Power was restored to ll customers by 11:00 p.m.

There was a grass fire outside a substation near Martin Community College, but Dominion says that was not the cause of the outage. The company was still investigating the cause late Friday night.
