Kinston, NC – The first ever “Freedom Classic” takes place at Historic Grainger Stadium February 25th-27th in Kinston, NC.
The Freedom Classic brings college baseball back to Historic Grainger Stadium as the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy battle in a three game series during the first annual event.
“We are inviting all of Eastern North Carolina to honor and support our military in the Freedom Classic,” said Kinston Director of Parks and Recreation Bill Ellis. “Not only will fans get to see some fantastic college baseball, but the military pageantry we have lined up for the series is really going to make it memorable.”
Tickets are just $2 for active or retired military, veterans, students and seniors. Admission is only $5 for everyone else. Game one of the series takes place on Friday, February 25th at 6pm. Game two is on Saturday, February 26th at 2pm. The series finale is Sunday, February 27th at 12:30 pm. Parking is free and concessions will be served for each game! Tickets are available at the front gate.
“We want to make the Freedom Classic an annual event,” said Freedom Classic Chairman Jenny Inabinet. “It would be great to someday expand the format to a multiple team tournament. We want to put together an annual, fun, affordable, family event that our military families and local community will enjoy.”
