Men Accused Of Elderly Man's Murder Due In Court

UPDATE: Court officials tell WITN that the hearing has been delayed until Tuesday.

Three men accused in the murder of a 79 year old man in Pitt County are scheduled for court appearances Monday.

Court records in Pitt County show 21-year-old Michael Bray, 17-year-old Christopher Powell, and 26-year-old Jason Walters are scheduled for appearances in the Pitt County Detention Center.

Bray, Powell and Walters are charged in the murder of Hue Sutton of Pitt County. The 79 year old man disappeared in October. His body was found in a wooded area behind his home on Leary Mills Rd.

Another person, 34-year-old Tasha Price, was charged with accessory after the fact.

    another fine man taken before his time, hope the criminals get the maxium punishment for this senseless crime.

    We really need to go back to the old days. Take these thigs in the middle of the town and slowing make them pay. If u steal u get your hand cut off, etc. Then people will think before they do. All we do is give them a smack on the hand and say don't do that.
