Murder Suspect In Court For Shooting Charge

A suspect in a capital murder case who has been behind bars for two years is due in court for a hearing in a separate case Monday.

Dontae Brown, 26, is charged with the 2009 murder of Brent Sherod in the Martin County town of Robersonville.

Brown is due in Pitt County court for the shooting of Darnell Carr in Greenville. Police say Brown shot Carr in the face the same day he murdered Sherod.

If he has only been in jail 2 years, he still has at least 2 more years before Mr. Edwards, Martin Countys DA, will take him to trial for murder. He normally waits 4-5 years before he tries someone. Next time, vote for whoever else runs.

Just wait till you see him now! All that hair will be gone and he'll be clean shaven. He'll look as respectable as his lawyer can make him.
