Murder Suspect In Court

A suspect in the gruesome murder of an Onslow County man had his first court appearance Monday morning.

Fifty-year-old James Days Junior is charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the death of 66-year-old Jerry Pickett. Pickett was found dead in his home on September 18th of this year.

The medical examiner determined Pickett bled to death after his throat was slit.

The Pickett family says the arrest is a blessing. Pickett's wife Dianne says, "It won't bring him back but it's a relief for the family."

Days wife tells WITN he was defending himself. No bond was set in this case. Days next court date is scheduled for December 13th.

If this man was defending his life, Why is it he has mo bond? Is it because of his race? Where is justice. Murder is a very harsh word, when you don't have all the facts, gruesome is morbid. Within justice find all the facts before another innocent person is convicted by our so call legal justice system!!!
