Multiple People Hurt In Crash In Wilson

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle accident that sent multiple people to two hospitals.

Trooper Lamm, with the Wilson County Highway Patrol says, it happened Monday afternoon, on Hornes Church Road, near the I-95 overpass in Wilson.

Lamm says the 15 passenger van, carrying several migrant workers, flipped into a field and landed upside down.

Several of the occupants were transported to two area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to Lamm.

He says it's unknown why the van flipped and who was driving, since most of the people in the van did not speak English.

We'll bring the latest information once it becomes available to us.
