State troopers are still investigating the cause of a deadly accident Monday in Lenoir County, while they have now identified the two passengers injured in the crash.
Killed was the driver of the pick-up truck, Raymond Goff, Junior of La Grange.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. on Banks School Road, west of Kinston when the truck ran off the road and into some thick woods.
Troopers say two passengers in the Dodge Dakota were airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital. They have identified the two as Roy Morris, Jr. of La Grange and Christy Goff Johnson of Snow Hill.
Morris is in good condition at PCMH, while the hospital says it has no information on Johnson.
Troopers say Morris was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, while the driver was belted in.
Authorities say 35-year-old Raymond Goff Jr. of LaGrange was killed in the single vehicle crash around 3:15 p.m. on Banks School Road west of Kinston.
Troopers say three people, 2 men and a woman, were in the Dodge Dakota truck which was headed south when the driver lost control and went off the road into the woods. The Highway Patrol says the man driving died and the other two people were taken by EastCare to Pitt County Memorial Hospital. The conditions of the injured were not available late Monday night and Troopers said they were still investigating the cause of the crash.
The pickup ended up some 20 feet into woods, with both its front and rear ends ripped off in the crash. The road was closed for more than an hour as the truck was pulled from the woods.
A Lenoir County highway remains closed after a serious wreck this afternoon.

Two EastCare helicopters were brought to the area because of the crash. No word yet on how serious the injuries are, while troopers are trying to determine how to get the vehicle out of the thick woods.
