Much Warmer On Thursday Across Eastern North Carolina

High pressure along the Virginia coast will move offshore Thursday allowing much warmer air to invade eastern North Carolina. Highs will hit the upper 60s in most locations under partly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase during the afternoon and evening followed by some showers by Friday morning. The showers will end by late Friday with drier and cooler air on tap for the weekend.
