A strong cold front will push off the North Carolina coast early Friday causing a wind shift to the north and much cooler air. Highs on Friday will hold in the 50s much of the day. Clouds will encompass the area Friday through Saturday morning. Some patchy light rain will likely develop by late Friday or Friday evening. There will be a better chance for rain late Friday night into Saturday morning as an area of low pressure develops along our coast. The storm will move rapidly away from the area by Saturday afternoon followed by clearing skies. It will remain chilly throughout the weekend and there could be some scattered frost by Sunday morning as lows dip into the middle to upper 30s inland.
