Eastern North Carolina will continue in a warm and steamy air mass through Wednesday. The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee will bring moisture into the area causing locally heavy downpours and a slight risk of severe weather. Most of the heavy rainfall will stay west of Highway 17 but showers will still occur along and near the coast. The showers will begin to taper off Thursday and drier conditions will return for Friday through the weekend. Highs will reach the middle to upper 80s each afternoon.
