High pressure over eastern North Carolina will give us a chilly night with lows in the lower to middle 40s. The high will move offshore Wednesday allowing a cold front to approach the area from the west. We'll still see a lot of sunshine but a few clouds may show up in the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s. The front will move through our area on Thursday and that could produce a few light showers. Significant rainfall is not expected through the end of the week. Skies will clear rapidly by Thursday night as colder air arrives in time for Veteran's Day.
