Cloudy and damp weather conditions will continue across eastern North Carolina on Monday. A stationary front over the coastal area combined with tropical moisture surging northward from the Atlantic Ocean will continue to cause showers, especially along the coast. The threat for showers will continue into Tuesday as another cold front approaches from the west. Temperatures should be close to 80° in the afternoons with overnight lows in the upper 60s. Drier conditions will move into the area later this week.
