More Showers Expected Wednesday Across Eastern Carolina

A stationary front across eastern North Carolina will continue to create a moist and unstable atmosphere. Showers and a few thunderstorms will develop overnight into Wednesday with some locally heavy rainfall. The front should move slowly southward on Wednesday taking much of the heavier rainfall just to our south. A few showers will still dot the area through the day. The clouds and showers will keep temperatures slightly below normal in the afternoon with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
