A mom admits she was drunk when her minivan rolled over, seriously injuring two of her four young children inside.
Tonya Gillikin pleaded guilty to two counts of felony serious injury by motor vehicle on Wednesday.
District Attorney Scott Thomas says the mother's blood-alcohol level was .09 and marijuana was detected in her system as well.
The accident happened April 3rd in Cape Carteret. Thomas says Gillikin was in the minivan with her boyfriend and her four children when it crossed the center line and hit a curb. The minivan flipped, and her three year old was thrown from the vehicle.
Gillikin was sentenced to serve between 14 and 26 months in prison.
