I'd rather go without than to go in there with all the "Crazies". There is nothing I need to buy to get involved in that crazy mess and if there was I seriously need to evaluate my priorities in life.

Bunch of savage greedy knuckleheads. Black Friday is a perfect name for the igornance of those that go out in this madness, just to save a few bucks on something that the person you give it to likley don't even need to start with. Merry CHRISTmas.

They better expand Firetower and Portertown to 4 lanes before they put in that walmart, or traffic will be more of a nightmare than it already is. Willow Run, Brook Valley, Cherry Oaks, Camelot...get ready, or organize to run walmart out of this side of greenville. It can be done.

If having another Walmart means jobs for people who are desperately needing one I am all for it. Yes the traffic will be worse but what could be worse, a little hold up in traffic or out of a job. Evidently you have a job. As far as your comment about running walmart out of this side of greenville, that sounds so childish.

The issue is not that there is going to be another Walmart. The issue is the location. Buying farmland at a reduced rate and having it rezoned for commercial use when the people who surround the land cannot vote for city council leaders is crooked. There is plenty of commercial property all over Pitt county it is just more expensive. I'll predict that after the shopping center is built, they will annex the surrounding communities, except for the lake because they don't want the dam.

Well personally I don't live far from the location & I am white & I shop at Walmart. So I am glad there will be a walmart in this location. All I can say is suck it up and deal with it. Do you blame the company for buying land at the best deal they can? I am sure the farmland would not have been sold if the owner wanted to keep it and farm on it. The farming industry is not what it use to be. As far as not being able to vote for city council, big deal at least we don't have to pay city taxes.

The point is you will have to pay city taxes after they annex you and after they have devalued your property. If you own property in this area, you should be very concerned. Why not put it across the river in some of the vacant lots that are already zoned for commercial use? If there are so many supporters for Walmart going in this location why were they not at any of the meetings?

I am not concerned about if and when where I live is annexed. It will not be anytime soon. I don't worry about what ifs. I am assuming that you wish all future businesses would be across the river. If you are unhappy about the location of the new walmart, then move across the river lol. Try to relax and not worry about the small things in life, life is too short.

More reasons to not open a new walmart on the last good side of greenville.

Walmart should be ashamed of theirselves for putting their employees at risk to be hurt like that. They are all about safety and there is nothing safe about this. Greed! Shoppers should be ashamed of theirselves too!

Walmart isn't responsible for idiots! I am sure those same idiots caused disturbances in other stores too. Remember there are a lot of stupid people among us and you can't fix stupid.

Good point. He could have used the firehose on them like during the civil rights movement. Take some of the police brutality heat off of the cops.
