Washington police say James Wilson, Jr. is safe after he was reported missing Monday.
Lt. William Chrismon with the Washington Police Department said Tuesday morning that Wilson "arrived home from visiting with friends and is fine."
"We wish to thank the community and news media for assisting in locating Mr. Wilson" Chrismon said in a press release.
The 66-year-old man was reported missing Monday. Police were concerned Wilson may have been in need of his medication.
James Wilson, Jr. was last seen walking away from his home on Bridge Street on Sunday. The 66-year-old man was last wearing a black baseball cap, white button down shirt, a khaki colored jacket and blue jeans.
He is believed not to have his medication with him. If anyone has seen Wilson after 7:00 p.m. Sunday please contact Washington police at 252-946-1444 or your local law enforcement agency.
