Mild With Increasing Clouds On Friday Across Eastern North Carolina

Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue on Friday across our area. It will be a few degrees cooler than Thursday but highs should still hit the lower to middle 70s, except upper 60s along the Outer Banks. Clouds will increase during the day and there will be a slight risk of showers by the afternoon. A strong cold front will push into the state Saturday causing an increase in showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong to severe. Much cooler air will move into eastern North Carolina Saturday night and Sunday.
