Michelle Obama, Jill Biden To Visit Camp Lejeune Wednesday

First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will be at Camp Lejeune Wednesday speaking to military service members and their families.

According to a White House press release on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Obama and Biden will begin the tour by speaking to 3,000 Marines, soldiers, sailors, and military family members from Camp Lejeune. They will be joined at this event by the 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps General James Amos and Commanding General Marine Corps Installations East Major General Carl Jenson.

Then at 10:15 a.m. the pair will visit Operation Shower at Camp Lejeune. Operation Shower is a non-profit organization that honors the sacrifices military families make by hosting unit-wide baby showers for expecting military families in a deployment or high stress situation.

Obama and Biden will join in the celebration hosted for 40 pregnant women whose husbands are service members. They will bring gifts donated through a special White House Operation Shower donation drive.

Special guest Martha Stewart will join this shower and teach the art of preserving memories through scrapbooking for these military mothers.

This will help solve the deficit. Don't pay the Federal employees and spend thousands of their money to personally telling them to keep their heads up and that they are appreciated.

Why would someone who hates the military as much as she does even want to come? Has to be tied to 2012 election.

President Obama has never said he would not pay military personnel if there was a shutdown. It seems to me that for some people it is easier to be critical than to be correct. Wife of a retired veteran.

Is that why we recieve an email on Friday that had an attachment from the Secretay of the Navy, stating that we would be earning our pay, we just wouldnt actually be recieving it into our bank accounts and would not get any until a budget was passed, yet we would still be required to work? The federal workers that would have been affected would be able to recieve unemployment benifits. The military WOULD NOT. Your husband would still get his retirement check because that falls under a different budget that had already been passed. "It seems to me that for some people it is easier to be critical than to be correct". I guess you would fall under that category.
