Michael Jordan Buys Luxury Condo In Charlotte

Wilmington native and Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is officially a Charlotte homeowner.

The Charlotte Observer reports that the former University of North Carolina star and six-time NBA champion has purchased and combined the two top-floor penthouses at a luxury condominium building in Charlotte.

The agency that brokered the deal says Jordan closed on the $3.15 million property last week.

Jordan's new, 7,000-square-foot residence is about two blocks from Time Warner Cable Arena, where the Bobcats play.

The condos come with amenities like gourmet kitchens, outdoor living spaces, grilling areas and gas fireplaces. Jordan also installed a private elevator from the lobby to his condo.

Jordan became the Bobcats' majority owner earlier this year.

Michael Jordan's issue as an owner is that he gets the tendency to be too biased toward guys coming in from Duke and UNC. He does'nt look outside of the box enough. BTW Go Magic!

Bobcats will never amount to anything with Jordan at the helm. He doesn't have what it takes in the front office, in fact he's one of the worst. This is bad news for any true Bobcats fan. They should be in mourning over this.

He has set down roots in NC now. Give him a couple of years, and he will start running for public office.

I went to a Bobcats game this month for the first time. The experience was awesome. I would recommend anyone to attend. Very nice arena!

I'm really happy about this! As a former Bobcats season ticket holder, it's great to see Michael getting more and more involved with the organization! He was an absentee owner for the longest time. Now that he put down roots, maybe he can convince some NBA superstars to do the same! LET'S GO CATS!!!!
