Meeting Scheduled To Discuss Fate Of Kinston Postal Center

A meeting is scheduled to take place Monday night to discuss the future of a Kinston postal center.

The postal service is considering closing the downtown Kinston center and moving those operations to Fayetteville to save money. Currently, 94 people work at the Kinston facility that processes mail for most of Eastern Carolina.

The public meeting will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Lenoir Community College.
