The state port in Morehead City will be the topic of discussion Tuesday night after leaders abandoned plans to build a sulfur-melting facility.
The meeting at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City will focus on the port's development. The meeting is open to the public. An open house runs from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period.
The event is part of the state's maritime strategy project, which includes position North Carolina as a portal to the global maritime economy.
