Marine Corps 90-Day Civilian Hiring Freeze Starts Friday

marines 200x120

The Marine Corps started a 90-day hiring freeze Friday for civilian positions Marine Corps-wide.

The freeze is supposed to help the marine corps analyze its current civilian strength and develop a workforce plan to meet fiscal year 2012 strength goals.

It will not impact current employees at Air Station Cherry Point.
People can still apply for jobs exempt from the freeze including firefighters, police officers, and overseas positions.

Slip of the tongue. But if I had my way there would only be MEN in the Marines. Hey.... call me old-fashioned but that's my opinion and I have the right to express it. If anyone has a problem with that they can emigrate to some other country where free expression is not allowed. BTW, the Nobel Peace Prize winner is serving prison time in China!

Civilian hiring may be stopped. BUT for you young men who can pass the test, the recruiter's office is still open and taking applications!
