Marine Commander Relieved Amid Sexual Harassment Investigation

The top Marine at Camp Johnson has been relieved of command, amid a sexual harassment investigation.

Col. Terri Erdag had been commanding officer of Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools and Camp Johnson since last summer.

A spokesman for the Marine Corps Combat Development Command says Brig. General Niel Nelson, commanding general of Training Command, relieved her of command Friday "due to loss of confidence in her leadership and ability to maintain a positive command climate."

Col. Sean Gibson says an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment of a senior male officer is continuing. He says the sexual harassment issue is part of the reason, but not the entire reason behind the change in command.

Her bio says Col Erdag started out as an aviation mechanic and became an Marine officer in 1987.
