Marine Accused Of Assaulting Infant

A Camp Lejeune Marine is accused of assaulting an infant who was left in his care.

Onslow County deputies have charged Robin Johnson with assault on a child under 12, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and misdemeanor child abuse.

Deputies say back on January 22nd the infant was left in his care while the mother took friends back to the base. They say during her absence, the 24-year-old Johnson went to the infant's room several times and assaulted the her with a plastic brush, leaving raised welts on her behind.

Bond for the Marine was set at $2,500.

    If the mother does not leave this idiot - THROW HER IN JAIL TOO and put the baby up for adoption.

    An old fashioned spanking should have been left until the child understood right from wrong, bruises are not allowed! Babies don't have that ability to understand, DUH!.

    This veteran would REALLY like to set his bond! What a disgrace! What gave him the right to abuse. When you fools feel the urge to abuse a child please visit your local VFW and we will be glad to adjust you to better fit into society!
