Man Arrested, Faces 49 Charges For Break-Ins Spree

The Tyrrell County Sheriff's Office arrested a man they say is responsible for a string of break-ins. The suspect is also wanted by Elizabeth City Police and the Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office in connection to 34 burglaries.

31-year-old William Chesson of Elizabeth City faces 49 charges in Tyrrell County including 15 counts of breaking and entering, 10 counts of larceny after a break-in, 6 counts of breaking into a coin operated machine, and safe-cracking charges.

WITN reported in May Pasquotank deputies were also looking fro Chesson after Elizabeth City police arrested 2 other suspects wanted in a string of burglaries there that plagued the city for 4 months.

Chesson was placed in the Albemarle District Jail.

    Why would you blame education for this person's deeds. He has(had) the same oportunities as everyone else, (if he wanted to USE the oportunity). He could go to the SAME public school as hundreds of other children, (who have elected NOT to steal). There are grants for comm college. a Person can elect to go in the military to better themselves to get training and college credits for training that is completed. So This is NOT an education issue. This IS a Life GOAL setting issue.

    You call that "a string of break-ins"??? Nah, that's an entire spool. This guy is way past the term "career criminal".....wonder what our lame, useless, good-for-nothing justice sytem will award him.
