@Meatball,I don't think you know the whole story because it definitely wasn't in self defense. I understand that you love your cousin, but what he did was very wrong! Also, I feel that it is very insensitive for you to say "let the past be the past and move" because you still have your family and for those who loved Drek, can never see him in the physical ever again because your cousin lacked self control.

Both of these men were family friends of mine. And if you don't know the story then don't judge. It wasn't right that Dre killed Drek, but overall they were both good people. Stop categorizing them as if they're just hoodlums. smh R.I.P. Drek ily fam ♥

My heart grieves for both families. No one should ever take another mans life, but it's not for me to judge. The Bible says "Judge not, that ye be not judged" Matthew 7. I didn't know the young man 'Drek', but it seems he was a remarkable young man that was loved by mass amount of people. However, I know Dre and all I can say is i'm still in 'SHOCK' and not 'UNDERSTANDING'. I'd like to send my condolences and prayer to the family of Drek. I can only imagine how you all feel emotionally. Also for the family of Deandre Lofton, I am praying for you all as well. God only knows why. May 'God' be with you all in your time of need. @ Honest, You may not be condoning, but you are defending. How can you sit here and defend a man that has taken someones life? I knew both of them and the situation and Drek did nothing to deserve being stabbed and MURDERED by Dre. To sit here and defend that dude is very disrespectful to the family and friends of Drek! I think you should have kept your opinion to yourself.

Yeah, my family has been through hard times, too. We use to stab each other almost weekly. We had the Emergency Room on speed dial and the ambulance drivers knew our names when we called.
