One of two men accused of killing an Onslow County man three years ago pleaded guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced Thursday.
A second man has been sentenced for the brutal stabbing death of a Hubert man.
Dallas Bullock was sentenced to 20 - 25 years in prison for the murder of Joseph Wells after he pleaded guilty in Onslow County Court Thursday morning
Last month Ryan Casler was convicted of first degree murder in Wells death and received life without parole.
Prosecutors say Wells was stabbed 30 times with a knife after drinking at a friend's house in Hubert and then got a ride from Bullock and Casler.
"There was evidence from Steven Jacob that Dallas Bullock was holding him down and in our mind there are laws that would be at least consistent with a second degree murder plea," said District Attorney Ernie Lee.
A third suspect, Stephen Jacob, still faces accessory charges.
Dallas Bullock went before a judge Thursday morning to enter the guilty plea for the death of Joseph Wells III. The judge sentenced Bullock to serve between 20 and 25 years in prison for the murder.
Last month Ryan Casler was convicted of first degree murder for Wells' murder and received life without parole.
