The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Charles Fritz of Sneads Ferry is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Lawmen say he left a bar and walked in the middle of the road near his home on Old Folkstone Road. A passing driver swerved to avoid hitting Fritz, who authorities say fell to the ground because he was drunk. When the victim went to check on Fritz, he says Fritz pulled out a knife and charged him. The victim got a baseball bat from his vehicle and hit Fritz in the head, but Fritz managed to stab him several times in the abdomen.

Fritz is in jail on $100,000 bond.

I don't think this was the first time Fritz was hit in the head with a baseball bat.

Don't mean to judge on looks alone....but, it appears there might be something just 'not right' with Fritz other than alcohol.
