A Goldsboro man is facing drug charges.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office reports 34-year-old Faronta Thompson of Brazil Street was arrested Saturday.

Lawmen say the arrest came as a result of a drug investigation into a high crime area. They report Thompson was in possession of seven grams of crack cocaine packaged to sell and some marijuana.

Thompson was locked up under a $30,000 secured bond.

Defense. Do you want to go into a fight with gun or a knife? Remember...this is your freedom. We could build prop engine fighters.....wonder how they would hold up against modern fighter jets. Freedom ain't cheap.

Another typical for Goldsboro, can see them dealing in plain sight off and on Slocun street. Mayor loves them though becouse of all the $ he gets from the Gov. and State. Goldsboro's social programs continue to attract more and more of this type of individual to live here. Hope the Air Base Wing Commander is taking notes for the Base Realignment and Cosure committee..
