Man Arrested After Charges Dropped Against Half-Brother

One man has had charges dropped while his half-brother is now accused in a shooting that wounded six people in Goldsboro.

Police on Friday charged Tremaine Lane of Dudley with six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and ten counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property.

Police say the shooting happened back on May 22nd on North George Street and expect more arrests.

On Tuesday police arrested Jaquan Dennis for the shooting. Dennis is Lane's half-brother and those charges were subsequently dropped the next day and Lane was arrested.

The 18-year-old Lane is in the Wayne County jail on a $1,001,500.00 bond.

    Why did they shoot into the house in the first place? Were they out riding around and just decided that they would kill somebody? I am just glad these children are off the streets.
