A man who has a history of sex offenses with underage girls has again been charged with another statutory rape.
Marcel Jenkins of Newport was charged Thursday by Carteret County deputies.
Deputies say the 15-year-old victim was known to the 22-year-old man.
In 2013, Jenkins pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted felony child abuse and one count of crimes after he was charged with the statutory rape of a 13 year old. He was placed on three years supervised probation.
Deputies say Jenkins also faces numerous probation violations, including committing fraud on a drug screen and having contact with an 11 year old girl.
Victims in the two cases are different girls, according to deputies.
Jenkins will go before a judge on Monday and is being held on a $100,000.
