UPDATE: 2 Arrested For Friday Fatal Shooting In Goldsboro

Two men have been arrested for a fatal shooting in Goldsboro Friday. Goldsboro Police responded to the 700 Block of North Virginia Street right after noon Friday and say they found 42-year-old Tony Lewis of 802 W. Grantham Street dead.

Monday, murder warrants were secured for 21-year-old Jaquan Dennis and 23-year-old Nebraska Best.

Dennis was arrested at a residence in the 400 block of W. Grantham Street Monday afternoon.A few hours later, Goldsboro Police say Best was arrested at a residence in the 100 block of Ervin Drive.

Both are being held in the Wayne County Jail under no bond pending a first appearance Tuesday.

Police are looking for suspects in an afternoon murder in Goldsboro.

Tony Lewis of West Gratham Street has been identified as the victim in the shooting that happened around 12:10 p.m.

Police went to the 700 block of North Virginia Street after getting a call about someone being shot.

The 42-year-old Lewis has several drug convictions, as well as a pending charge of assault on a female.
