Man Charged With Breaking Into Cars At ECU Student Parking Lot


A Greenville man has been arrested and charged with breaking into vehicles in a student parking lot at ECU.

ECU Police say Antwuan Forbes was arrested Friday morning.

Officers recognized him as he walked near Charles and 10th Streets after reviewing parking lot surveillance cameras and evidence found in the parking lot.

Police say two vehicles in the Fifth and Reade Street student parking lot were reportedly broken into between 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. February 6th.

The 41-year-old is charged with two counts of felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle, and one count of misdemeanor larceny.

Forbes is being held in the Pitt County Detention Center on a $15,000 secured bond.
