Police say a man was carjacked last night, and was ordered by knife point to drive to a bank.
Kinston police arrested Ralph Dunn a short time after the victim jumped from his moving car and ran to a nearby gas station to call for help. The vehicle struck the BB&T Bank on West Vernon Avenue and the attacker ran.
Police say it started on Old Snow Hill Road when Jeremy Sutton told officers that as he was pulling up to a friends house the unknown man got into his vehicle and demanded money. Sutton said he had no money and was then told to drive to the bank.
Dunn was captured near Northwest Elementary School and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree kidnapping. The 23-year-old was jailed on a $150,000 secured bond.
