Congress controls the budget. When the dems took over the US House in 2007 the unemployment rate was 4.6% and the stock market was 14,200. After 4 years of Nancy Pelosi the unemployment rate was up to 9.5% (even as high as 10.1%), more debt had been added than the entire Bush/Republican years, over 40 million Americans are on food stamps, 1 million homes were foreclosed on last year alone, and the stock market averaged over the 4 years ~8,500. And of course we are still in Iraq, Afghanistan and GITMO is still open. Why are the dems still pretending to be happy? Ignorance? Things have been more positive over the last 2-3 months on the economy because the Republicans have taken over the House. Obama was stopped from raising taxes on everyone. There is legislation pending to control the EPA. Obamacare is going down piece by piece. After 2 years of "hope and change" with ZERO positive results the idea of Republicans coming back has made everything look better!God Bless Republicans

Just reminding you dead-ender teapartiers that there have already been more private-sector jobs created in Obama's administration than there were in ALL EIGHT YEARS of Bush's failed presidency. Even before the "glimmer of hope" the GOP congress brought us. BTW, the Republican congress has already broken EVERY CAMPAIGN PROMISE in their national platform. EVERY ONE.

The Dems controlled Congress since 2006, just when the economy headed South.
